Can we agree that not all people of any descriptor are not all the same? Can we agree that accusing other people of what you or someone you are working with has done or is doing is hypocritical? Because honestly, if we cannot even begin with those two…I think there is little hope for unity, peace or progress.
So what brought this on? When the media and then the democrats in Congress made out that 1). A single mostly peaceful protest (and yes, I use that description on purpose) where some people broke the law and a few of them were hurt or killed is worth far more attention, scrutiny and reaction that the weeks and months of Antifa and BLM riots, protests and take overs. 2). The continued rhetoric that ‘Trump supporters’ need to be re-educated, killed, are to blame is at best childish and at worst fascist. And is definitely hypocritical. Not all democrats are so far left that they supported the violence and financial damage caused by the Antifa and BLM riots/protests so why are all conservatives or all those who didn’t vote for Biden to be thrown in to one group?
Let’s be honest so we can move on. If you are saying you want unity but demonizing anyone who disagrees with you, it is power, not unity that you want. You are not Pro-America when you want to have a McCarthy-like investigation and purge people who do not think like you.
I cannot be the only one who is thinking this. Where are the rational voices?
