Definition of Extremes: either of two abstract things that are as different from each other as possible.
When you are so far to the extreme you can’t see the other side…maybe you have gone too far. In this day and age the ‘Extremes’ can’t even see the middle. Example- Voter Fraud
One extreme says it never happens and the other says it’s so rampant it will change outcomes. And so entrenched in the extreme each end won’t even accept the middle’s position that there is some fraud and it could have an impact.
It has gotten so bad I have the picture in my mind of a small child plugging their ears so as not to hear something they don’t like.
No wonder we cannot get anything done in politics we have leaders (elected officials) who have ‘extended reality beyond the information available’ and either firmly believe it, kind of like magical thinking or are hoping that their firm resolve will get others to believe and follow their lead.
I can’t help but think the hash tag for almost everything right now should be #whatthehellarethesepeoplethinking
